I’ve devoted years to the fine art
of escape; I am a masterclass in
finding exits in unfamiliar places:
I’ve been known to escape the
bottom of any pill bottle and
the feet of any stranger’s bed,
I’ve broken out in between cracks
of used pipes and even from under
rocks that have sunk bottom,

not that you’d ever notice,

not while I’m leaving fingerprints
in your head and sending
chills down your spine
and your mattress.

If you knew better, I’d hope
you’d tell me to take care;
there’s a very fine line
between playing dumb
and playing

Hi, I’m Emily and I like to think of myself as a kaleidoscope, but one that ranges from a spectrum of commitment issues to emotional hoarding, all circling around varying shades of anxiety. People say I have trouble ‘staying present’ and I’ve found that daydreaming becomes significantly less acceptable in your 20’s.

  1. Having read this I believed it was very enlightening. I appreciate you spending some time and energy to put this article together. I once again find myself personally spending way too much time both reading and leaving comments. But so what, it was still worthwhile! gmail login
